Wholesale of aquatic products rose by 10%

The Ministry of Agriculture disclosed the operation of the wholesale market of aquatic products in the first three quarters of this year on the 25th. Since the beginning of this year, the overall price of aquatic products has increased significantly compared to last year.

According to the statistics of the Ministry of Agriculture on the 80 wholesale markets of aquatic products in the country, the average price of the wholesale market for aquatic products in the first three quarters of 2010 was 16.46 yuan/kg, up 9.94% year-on-year. Among them, seawater products were 29.51 yuan/kg, up 13.91% year-on-year; freshwater products were 11.73 yuan/kg, up 4.91% year-on-year.

According to comparable statistics on 26 wholesale markets of aquatic products, the volume of aquatic products in the first three quarters was 2.5983 million tons, a year-on-year decrease of 3.97%; the turnover was 43.699 billion yuan, an increase of 4.01% year-on-year.

Among aquatic products, over 80% of seafood prices rose year-on-year, and individual varieties rose a lot. The prices of the five major categories of marine products monitored rose year-on-year, and seawater fish rose by 19.6%. Of the 31 varieties of seawater products, prices of 26 species rose, and 14 species rose or decreased by more than 10%. Among them, the prices of fishing products such as striped fish, flower crab and squid rose by more than 20%.

Compared with seawater products, the prices of freshwater products are generally relatively stable, and the prices of bulk freshwater fish have increased across the board, but the increase has mostly been within 6%, and the prices of special aquatic products have risen and fell.
