Abstract : This paper summarizes the lighting problems in the design of small and medium-sized plastic solar greenhouses commonly used in vegetable production in the northern areas, and gives the calculation formula of azimuth: sin α=sinφtg[(h1+h2)/2]cosα+cosφctgγtg[( H1+h2)/2]; Calculation formula of lighting angle: γ=φ-351′; Calculation formula of rear roof projection: projection of rear roof=(ridge height-1.5m) tgφ; formula for calculation of sunshine spacing: d/H =ctg(6324'-φ); The formula for calculating the length of the shadow of the object in daylight from north to south at any time is: d/H=ctg[90-φ+arctg(tgδ/cosh)].
