Broiler Breeding Period Weight Management

Early stage of breeding (29 days to 70 days old) This stage is the stage during which the broiler breeder grows faster. It is best to use a method with high feed restriction intensity to control the rapid growth of body weight, so it is also called the stage of reducing maintenance needs. An average of 2 to 3 grams per week is added. At this stage, only bone growth, maintenance needs, feather growth, and weight gain are the purpose. The addition rate is small, and the average weight gain is about 95 grams. If the evenness of the chicken population is not ideal at the end of the 4th week, the breeding chickens should be raised in three columns: big, medium and small, and the different columns should be given different amounts of material. OBJECTIVE: To control uniformity by dividing the column so that the same body weight standard is reached between 10 weeks and 12 weeks. The feeding program can only be used as a reference when determining the amount of feed. The amount of feed should be calculated based on the difference between actual weight and body weight standards and the current level of feed. The 29th to 70th day of age is a critical period for the development of muscles, tendons, and ligaments in the rooster. During this stage, the legs of the rooster develop rapidly. Any deviation from the growth curve criteria can result in survival and productivity of the roosters after adulthood. Bad effects. At 8 weeks of age, 85% of the skeleton development is basically over, so this stage must be reached, even beyond the early weight standards. Otherwise, the mature shape of the roosters is smaller than the ideal shape.
