Taiwan will inspect batches of pesticide residues in mainland China

Recently, the inspection and quarantine department of the autonomous region issued a notice reminding our district planting and processing enterprises to pay close attention to the new policies and changes in Taiwan's counterproducts, and to keep abreast of the latest warning information and warning notices issued by the inspection and quarantine departments on the products exported to Taiwan, so as to ensure Exports, product quality and safety.

A few days ago, the Food and Drug Administration of the “Department of Health of the Executive Yuan of the Taiwan region” requested that batches of products from Mainland China, Hong Kong, and Macao be examined on a batch-by-batch basis beginning on February 29 this year, and a pesticide residue analysis report must be submitted to apply. Enter the inspection.

It is understood that in September 2011, Taiwan's regional safety tolerance standards for pesticide residues were revised. The revised standard requires up to 166 pesticide residues, of which 86 pesticide residues require zero detection. Since the implementation of the new standard, Taiwan has detected multiple batches of pesticide residues exceeding the standard from the mainland, and it has adopted new control measures.

In this regard, the inspection and quarantine department reminded us that the exportation of Taiwan's eucalyptus trade must be based on the principle of origin inspection in the Ningxia Inspection and Quarantine Bureau. If an evasive behavior occurs, it will be handled strictly in accordance with relevant laws and regulations. . And further strengthen the self-inspection and self-control work of raw materials. Based on the risk analysis, the product shall follow the requirements of the Taiwanese government to carry out pesticide residue monitoring.
