Types and characteristics of springs used in vibrating screens

The types of springs used in the vibrating screen are classified into: steel springs, rubber springs, composite springs, and air cushion springs.

Steel spring: made of spring steel, is a compression spring, is a coil spring that bears the pressure. The material used is circular in shape, generally equal pitch, and there is a certain gap between the ring and the ring when subjected to external load. When the spring shrinks and deforms, the deformation energy can be stored.

The bearing weight of the coil spring is proportional to the wire diameter and the number of wire loops.

Rubber spring: It is a high-elastic body made of natural rubber. The rubber spring has a small elastic modulus and has a large elastic deformation after being loaded, thereby absorbing and rebounding. The rubber spring has good vibration damping effect, low noise, air tightness, water resistance and high electrical insulation, but the high temperature resistance, cold resistance and oil resistance are worse than the steel spring.

Composite spring: It is composed of steel coil spring and vulcanized rubber wrapped around it. The advantages of the steel spring and the rubber spring are integrated, and the metal spring has the advantages of high rigidity, high working noise, small weight of the rubber spring, poor shape and mechanical stability. It has the advantages of higher load capacity and large deformation, better damping and noise reduction, stable operation and short resonance interval.

Air Cushion Spring: Compressed air is filled in a retractable air cushion. It is a spring that uses air to generate elasticity. The air spring is a bell-shaped structure, and the number of the bells is usually 1 to 3, which can be used in combination. Air cushion springs are commonly used on vibration platforms.
