Flame tortoises, also known as red belly turtles, red belly donuts, originating from the United States, were introduced in recent years in China. It has a total of four strains, distributed in the United States, Mexico, introduced to China's two species of flame turtles called Alabama pseudo-turtle, Knott's pseudo-turtle. Because this turtle has a fire-yellow pattern on its back, there are also several irregular fire-yellow patches on the back and it seems to be a burning flaming type, so our country calls it flame-tortoise. The fire turtle has a large size, strong activity, and rapid growth. It can grow 30-40 grams per month more quickly than the Brazilian turtle. The largest individual in nature can exceed 5 kilograms. Flame turtles are eaten raw and eaten together. Their adaptability is similar to that of Brazilian turtles. Under the temperature of -6°C to -8°C, the latent water bottom will not freeze to death. When the water temperature reaches 42°C, it will still be very lively and eaten unabated. Under artificial rearing conditions, female turtles spawn 15-80 pieces per year, and the hatching rate is about 90%. The Flame Tortoise has a distinctive appearance with a bright and lustrous color. The abdomen is red when young, and the whole body is yellow, black, green, white and red. It is very beautiful, no peculiar smell, no buzzing, and the meat is tender and delicious, and has a Chinese turtle. The same medicinal value is a new species of turtle for viewing, eating, and medicinal purposes. Flame tortoises have strict requirements on feeding conditions and can be kept indoors and outdoors. In the environment where there is water supply all year round, the breeding can be successful. It is not afraid of lack of oxygen in the water, so you don't need to oxygenate like goldfish.
