Should change the habits of sheep in scale

At present, in the rural areas of China, some large-scale farmers have failed in the sheep-raising process. The reasons are as follows.

First, the environmental conditions are poor and the infrastructure is poor. Farmers follow the traditional “low input, high yield” farming model. “One wooden stake and one sheep” phenomenon is more common. Most of the pens are simple and easy to use, and the summer is not cool, the winter is not warm, and the indoor air is dirty. It is dark and damp. Long-term contact with wet and dirty ground, sheep is prone to parasitic diseases, and it grows slowly, is not easy to heat and breed, and production performance is reduced.

Second, the breeder's responsibility is not strong. Some farmers have a high level of enthusiasm for raising sheep, but they do not understand the breeding techniques. They had to ask for additional personnel. The breeder neglected to check the daily health status of the sheep in the usual feeding and management, and kept it warm and cold from winter. The accumulation of forage grass in the summer to cool off the summer heat, provide high-quality forage grass, and prevent insect repellent diseases have not been properly arranged and handled, resulting in poor quality of the sheep population, low productivity, and continuous disease.

Third, lack of fodder. Farmers mostly introduce sheep in the spring. The initial supply of forage material is still sufficient in time. After a period of time, the amount of pasturage planted is too small and the size of the breeding start is too large (the number of basic groups is as low as 40-50, and as many as More than 100), with forage crisis, can only be maintained under the acquisition of weeds. Acquisitions are often oversupplied, and they often fall short of revenue. Both the quantity and quality of grass cannot meet the growth needs of the sheep. Some peasant households were mainly fed with dietary feed in the absence of forage grass, causing sheep to be disrupted due to the lack of forage, and the system of microbial balance in the digestive system was disrupted, causing a series of disorder of the intestinal flora and impeding growth. Some farmers barely survived the fall, and it was still a problem to feed forage in the winter. At this time, most of the ewes were already bred and pregnant. The small amount of stored peanuts and rapeseed hulls was not a permanent solution at all. It was when there was no grass. With dry corn stalks and dry straw, this feeding not only does not guarantee the nutrition of pregnant ewes, but also it is difficult for fattening sheep to maintain their lives. It is inevitable that there will be a phenomenon of “Summer strong, autumn fat, winter thin, and lack of spring”.

Fourth, the prevention and control of insecticide is weak. Many farmers believe that sheep are less sick than pigs and are relatively easy to raise, prevent epidemics and disinfection, and have a weak awareness of deworming; some farmers never disinfect insects in sheep houses or sheep, and some even have basic vaccines. No; in the case of relative concentration without taking any precautionary measures, the breeding of pathogens is accelerated, the resistance of the sheep is poor, and the outbreak of the disease is easy.

Fifth, feeding and management must be in place. Practice has proved that high-bed raising of sheep is a more practical breeding method. This method has less input and is simpler, reduces the long-term direct contact between sheep and excreta, reduces the chances of sheep being infected with pathogens and eggs, and reduces the forage waste and saves manpower. Adopting a high-bed culture can ensure that the house is cool in winter and cool in summer, not only conforms to the sheep's living habits, but also can fully exert the sheep's production performance and reduce the occurrence of diseases.

Six, forage should be sufficient. Before entering the sheep, the corresponding amount of pasture should be planted according to the size of the herd, which ensures the supply of forage and the quality is also guaranteed while saving the concentrate. Planting pastures should be planted in batches according to the duration of pasture use and the time limit of use, so as to ensure the continuity of grass supply. In addition, due to the different nutritional value of leguminous and gramineous pastures, they should be planted in a balanced manner. In times of sufficient grass, it is appropriate to dry hay or make silage for winter use. Although sheep are mainly herbivorous, some grasses (dry straw, dry corn stalks, etc.) can only provide satiety, and have low nutritional value. They should be fed after nitriding and micro-feeding. The shortage of forage grass also makes full use of crop stalks to improve palatability and utilization.

Seventh, enhance awareness of prevention and disinfection. Shepherds, eating utensils, sports fields, etc. are often sterilized, and sheep are subjected to the prevention of common diseases such as disease No. 5, sheep's lung disease, sheep's tick, and sheep's pox according to the immunization protocol. The herbivorous sheep also eats a lot of eggs, and the parasites are very harmful to the sheep. Therefore, the sheep must be regularly repelled in vivo and in vitro.
