The appropriate amount of nitrogen nutrition is conducive to the rooting of the cuttings, so the fully mature and robust branches are the primary conditions for good rooting.

(2) Acquisition of cuttings and storage Cuttings should be collected on the fine plants (mother trees) that have been produced as a result and have purely variety characteristics. However, cuttings should not be collected on saplings with poor performance, serious pests, and unsuccessful results, so as to prevent deterioration of seedling quality and deterioration of cultivars.

The collection of cuttings is generally carried out simultaneously with winter pruning.
